Mondays photo of the week

I took these photo's of flowers at my son's house a week or two ago while I watched Katie for the day while the rest of the family went to Amy's father's funeral.

These are flowers that were given to Amy from family and friends upon her father's passing. They were so beautiful sitting there just wanting me to take their photo's and you know I can't pass by a rose without shooting it. I was so involved with taking flower photo's that I didn't realize until I was ready to snap the next shot....

that Katie had managed to sneak into the picture (:

Mondays photo of the week

I found this ghost hanging out in a neighbors bush, peeking through the branches..

on the porch of another neighbor I spotted this black cat hanging out with a scarecrow

and my favorite, I really zoomed in on this one it was way across the street and I didn't feel like walking all the way over there. I like the composition of it.

some beautiful autumn colors here in Michigan. I just love the splashes of color depending on the type of tree it is.

these were taken a week or so ago and they are about at their peak now and soon all the leaves will fall and we all know what comes next....hmmmm

Mondays photo of the week

Love this photo with the empty crate

These photo's were taken along side the road northwest of town

Lot's of apple orchards out that way full of apples... yellow and red...
got these photo's just before picking season started... now the trees are about bare.

Mondays photo of the week

Trout fishing the Grand River in GR.

yes that is a picnic table you see out there

A father and son
Well I missed last weeks photos again.... time seems to be passing by very quickly...
Last weekend we went decided to take a look at all the fisherman fishing for trout on the Grand River here in GR. I thought it would make interesting photo's since I still haven't gotten out of town at all.
Fall is coming fast, it was very cold today, only in the 40's brrr... I have some apple tree photo's and some Autumn colors to show, hopefully this week I'll get a round to posting them.

Monday photo of the week

I still haven't been anywhere to get photo's, so I am resorting to photo's sent to me of family members. This one is my son Joe with my grandson's Daniel and Brad on the right. This technique is called creative cut outs from my Elements mag.

This the the photo I worked from, can you tell they are Michigan fans? Boy it is 55 degrees here in Michigan today, Fall is coming fast and soon I will be getting those colorful Autumn photo's to share.
I had to work Saturday so didn't get down to the Artprize show going on downtown, too pooped to walk all over the place but sure wanted too, it will be interesting to see who the winner of the 250 thousand is....

Mondays photo of the week

My kitty cat Rosey kicking back in one of those large shoebox size plastic containers

My son Joe acting up and my lovely dil Amy, thought I would remove them from this background...

and put them on this one, I have such fun with photos, wish I had more time to spend doing them but there is never enough time for everything you enjoy so just have to take bit's of it as they come along. When I was laidoff for 4 months I still didn't have enough time....of course I spent a good portion of it being lazy for a change (:

Mondays photo of the week

Here we have a bowl of yummy watermelon and strawberries. Notice the yellow tone to the photo and the gapping hole at the bottom of the photo where one of the kids took a piece before I had a chance to photo it. Emmy's 5th birthday was Saturday and Amy had put together this lovely bowl of fruit and don't you just love the polka dot table cloth?

I did some edit's on the photo, first I enhanced the color and filled the gap by adding another slice f watermelon back into the hole. I couldn't get rid of the hand at the top of the photo but managed to cut most of it out. Looks even yummier now (:

and this was one I just played with for another effect called English Tea.
