photo techniques for July 5 (so far behind)

Oh boy have I gotten behind! This is the first time that I have forgotten to put up a photo for the week, I never even missed when we did the photo a day. Well a first time for everything I guess. Now I will have to double up until I am caught up. I spend the night and day with my Mom Sunday and while I was there I took a photo of the barn and small shed across the street from her house. I like it but the sky was washed out...

So I found a photo that had a pretty blue sky and layered it over the barn photo, now it has a pretty blue sky.

Then I tried another effect on it, it is kind of surreal looking. I opened it in camera raw and just played around with the sliders until I got something I liked.

and of course I had to do a black/white on it before I left it alone.

I like the black and white. You could burn (dodge?) the sky. I can't remember which one darkens. LOL

I enjoyed catching up here! Really like your "treatment" of the photos.
